Our Story
Villa Vilfa was built in 2018 as a labor of love by the Papadopoulos family, who wanted to create a special place that combines traditional Cretan architecture with modern luxury. The villa sits on a hillside that has been in the family for generations, previously home to olive groves that still partially surround the property.
Named after the ancient Minoan word for "peaceful retreat," Villa Vilfa was designed to provide guests with an authentic Cretan experience while enjoying all the comforts of a luxury vacation home.
Every detail of the villa has been carefully considered, from the locally sourced stone used in construction to the handcrafted furniture made by Cretan artisans. We're proud to share our special corner of Crete with visitors from around the world.
